She was predeceased by: her grandmother McKinney; her parents, Whitner William Watts and Nancy Pruitt Watts of Pauline, SC.; her husband John Davis O'Shields Sr.; her former husband Wallace McKinney; her son John Davis "Johnny" O'Shields Jr.; and her siblings, Everett Watts (Sarah), Ernest Watts (Joanne), R. C. Watts (Frances) and Doris Layton (Monsel).
She is survived by: her daughter Pamela Pettit (Curtis); her grandsons, Kenneth Pettit (Tracy) and Mikey O'Shields; her great grandchildren, Channin Pettit and Levi Pettit; her daughter-in-law Renae O'Shields; her sisters, Mary Vickery (Bobby), Ruth Bailey and Gladys Harris (Dennis); and also Floyd Watts (Hazel).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Philadelphia Baptist Church or Spartanburg Regional Hospice House.
