She was predeceased by: her husband Clyde Robert Childs; her parents, Charles Jordan and Doris Edna Waters Alewine; her daughter Connie Lynn Childs Alewine; and her sisters, Barbara Sue Gurley and Virginia McClain.
She is survived by: her son Charles Robert "Chuck" Childs (Joy) of Pelzer; her grandchildren, Megan Brooke Alewine, Robbie Alewine, McKenzie Harris and Chase Childs; and her great grandchildren, Zander Parrish, Bama Johnson, Saban Harris, Marysa and Landon Alewine.
