He was predeceased by: his parents, William M. Stegall and Laura Henrietta McNeely Stegall; and his sisters, Doris Holliday, Marion Johnson, Evelyn Finley, Betty Lollis and Frances Baker.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Diane Pressley Stegall; his son Thomas "Tommy" Walter Stegall, Jr. of Charleston; his sister Ann Armstrong of Easley; and his grandson Javen Ash Stegall of Kennesaw, GA..
