We are sad to announce that on December 1, 2021, at the age of 92, Henrietta Sims Mattress of Pendleton, South Carolina, born in Anderson, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Sims and Eva Mae Maddox Sims; her husband T. C. Mattress, Sr.; her sons, Albert and Jerry Mattress; her granddaughter Kimberly Mattress; her children-in-law, Melvin Jones, Sharon Caldwell and Rita Faye Gantt Mattress; and her siblings, Mattie E. Sims, Alberta Coleman, Lillie M. Sims, Betty Agnew, A. D., Jake, Gunnell, Clyde, Edward, Bobby and Issac Sims.
She is survived by: her children, Eva Loretta Mattress Jones, T. C. Mattress (Linda) of Westminster, SC and Joseph Mattress; and her sister Ilean Irving of Pickerington, Ohio. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
