It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joel Wayne Waldrop (Pickens, South Carolina), who passed away on August 4, 2019, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Eunice Waldrop; his sister Polly Waldrop; and his son Joel Wayne "Joey" Waldrop, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Miriam Watson; his grandchildren, Joanna W. Compton (Bryon) of Papillion, Janet W. Hughes (Marty) of Liberty and Jean W. Dillard (David) of Liberty; and his great grandchildren, Greg Compton, Haley Compton, J. T. Laney, Nicole Laney, Kwenton Waldrop, Kayla Waldrop, Karson Waldrop, Kiley Waldrop (Marlee), Kindele Childs (Cameron), Craig Dillard (Lauren) and Brian Dillard (Leslie). He is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
