She was predeceased by: her spouse Lendon Richard Simmons; her parents, Fred Ray Childs and Willie Mae Bridgman Childs; and her brother Bill Ray Childs of Winston-Salem, NC.. She is survived by: her children, Sherree Robinson (Wayne) of Pickens, Sharon Nealy (John) of Pickens, Richard Simmons (Georgia) of Easley, Ronnie Simmons (Elaine) of Pickens, Randall Simmons of Pickens and Roger Simmons (Debbie) of Pickens; her brother Bob Childs (Jewell) of Conway, SC; and her sisters-in-law, Frances Gillespie of Pickens and Lillie Childs of Advance, NC. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren.
