He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wylie Thompson and Lettie Pearl Thompson; his wives, Grace Elizabeth Thompson and Nancy Thompson; and his siblings, Jewel Thompson and Wanda Miller.
He is survived by: his sons, David Thompson (Debra) of Rock Hill, SC and Randal Wayne Thompson (Miriam); his former wife Maria of Marietta, GA; his grandchildren, Joshua Thompson, Timothy Thompson, Paige Timmons, Vanessa Quinn, Bryan Thompson, Alex Padilla and Barbara Hernandez; his great grandchildren, Jacob Thompson, Peyton Timmons, Thea Thompson, TJ Thompson, Daylen Timmons, Michael, Emma Grace, Allyson and Abigail Hernandez; and his siblings, John Thompson, Betty Garrett (Janet Wilcox) and Topper.
