He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Thomas Poteat, Sr. and Evie Bagwell Poteat; his wife Linda Webster Poteat; and his brother Harry Poteat. He is survived by: his daughters, Anne Elizabeth "Beth" Blackmon (Jantzen) and Susan Jane Poteat (Rusty Corley); his siblings, Max Poteat, Tony Poteat and Corrie Thomann; and his grandsons, Liam Blackmon, Wyatt Corley and Silas Corley.
