We are sad to announce that on September 28, 2020, at the age of 96, Merritt Wilkerson in Rock Hill, South Carolina, born in Hickory Grove, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Smith and Elma Merritt Wilkerson; his son Ernest Wilkerson; his grandson Brien Wilkerson; his siblings, William, John Wilkerson, Nanelle Castles, Carmen Anderson, Johnsie Moore, Dot Pearce and Ruth Perry; and his former wife Julia Cox Wilkerson.
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Julia Cox; his wife Terry Jane; his sons, Frank Wilkerson (Cindy) and Randy Wilkerson; his stepchildren, Doug Smart (Wanda) and Donna Smart; his grandsons, Trip Wilkerson (Laura Lea) and Benjamin Wilkerson; and his great grandchildren, Helen and Matt Wilkerson.
Due to COVID 19 restrictions, there will be a private service.
