It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Philip Wallace Holmes Jr. (Rock Hill, South Carolina), born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on June 23, 2018, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his sisters, Joyce Anne Holmes and Nancy Jean Beers. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Ann" Starnes Holmes; his sons, Philip Wallace Holmes, III (Christina) and Daniel Wayne Holmes; his granddaughters, Danielle, Emily, Sarah and Lauren; and his brother Ronald T. Holmes (Sue) of Springfield, VA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
