He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Collins and Helen Gunn Collins. He is survived by: his wife Alice Stocker Collins; and his daughter Linda Hurzeler (Don) of Kailua-Kona, HI. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in William Collins's name to Hospice and Community Care, PO Box 993, Rock Hill, SC 29731.
