He is survived by : his wife Marilyn Nichols Smith; his children, Terrell Smith, Vajaya Nicolette Sears and Shimon Smith; and his siblings, LaVerne S. Brown, Eddie L. Smith, Sonja M. Rice, Valerie D. Smith and Cecil Wanamaker. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
