As we bid Betty Jean farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Betty Jean is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Stakley Marion Shingler and Jenni Lyons Shingler; and her siblings, Barbara Shingler, Jeannie S. Diamond and Stakley Marion "Bud" Shingler.
She is survived by: her daughter Jessica M. Shingler of St. Matthews, SC; and her brother George Shingler.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Dukes-Harley Funeral Home Chapel (3379 Columbia Rd NE, Orangeburg, SC 29118). A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at the Memorial Park Cemetery (2720 Broughton St, Orangeburg, SC 29118).
