It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Smoak Griffith of Saint Matthews, South Carolina, born in Orangeburg, South Carolina, who passed away on August 22, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frank Griffith and Mary Ellen Griffith; his wife Jane Griffith of St. Matthews; his sons, Ben (Lauren) of Murrells Inlet, SC and Chandler (Joda) of Greenville, SC; his grandchildren, Mary Karr, Clara, Millie, Emerson, Henry, Knox, Fisher and Claren; his siblings, Frank Griffith (Jo) of Huntersville, NC and Theresa Walling (Thomas) of Lexington, SC; and his sisters-in-law, Mildred Ann Freeman of Niceville, FL and Nancy McClary (Guy) of Kingstree, SC. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
CDC guidelines for the COVID-19 virus and social distancing will be observed during the service. All attendees will be required to wear a mask.
