She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Koger Fairey, II and Elizabeth Woodside Fairey. She is survived by: her husband Dennis Morgan Bates; her children, Roy Oliver McClain, II of St. Matthews, Erin McClain Holsenback (Jonathan) of Aiken, Sarah Nicole Leonard of Aiken and Mary Marks Leonard of Summerville; her foster son Ryan Randall of Orangeburg; her stepdaughters, Maci Bates of New Orleans, LA and Brittany Sutton (Michael) of Lexington; her siblings, Joseph Koger Fairey, III (Becky) of St. Matthews, Ann Krulien Fairey (Kerry Stewart) of Hattiesburg, MI and Isabella Fairey McCall (Curt) of St. Matthews; and her grandchildren, Jackson Cade McClain, Elizabeth James Holsenback and Austen Emily Holsenback.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dukes-Harley Funeral Home Chapel (3379 Columbia Rd NE, Orangeburg, SC 29118). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 at the Wesley Chapel Church Cemetery.
