He is survived by: his wife Sarah Brazell Padgett; his son Christian Welch Padgett; his stepson Michael James Leslie; and his brothers, Michael Herlong Padgett, Jr. and Van Padgett, Sr. (Ann). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
