It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Eugene Knotts (Scranton, South Carolina), born in Florence, South Carolina, who passed away on January 13, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry Knotts and Eva Filyaw Knotts; his great grandchild Anna Kathryn Matthews; his daughter-in-law Vicki Knotts; and his siblings, Alvin Knotts, Ruth Tedder, Joyce Ashcraft and Evon Knotts.

He is survived by : his wife Shelby Knotts of Scranton; his children, Tommy Knotts (Shelia) of Scranton, Terry Knotts of Scranton and Janet Matthews (Ronald) of Scranton; and his grandchildren, Erik Knotts (Sarah), Alex Knotts (Brooke), Lindsey Johnson (Ryan), Lisa Evans (Josh), Glenn Matthews (Fran), Scott Matthews (Emily), Bryan Knotts (Kelli), April Elender (Brian) and Corey Knotts.
