He was predeceased by: his wife Sallie Mae Gibson Welborn of West Union; his parents, Walter Welborn and Sally Dickerson Welborn; his daughter Cristi Lynn Snelgrove; his siblings, Charles "Picket" Welborn and Brenda Burnside; and his great grandchild Jackson Kellis Connally.
He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Alice Welborn Connally of Salem, SC and Sandra Diane Welborn of Taylors, SC; his siblings, Johnny Welborn and Betty Eades; his grandsons, Jeremy Connally (Casey), Brad Connally (Taylor) and Braxton Connally; his great grandchildren, Silas Connally, Jonah Connally, Maddox Connally, Ella Connally and Levi Connally; and his close friend Betty Smith.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Oconee Memorial Park (1923 Blue Ridge Blvd, Seneca, SC 29672).
