He was predeceased by: his parents, William Clayton and Frances Cureton Bowen. He is survived by: his daughters, Bettie Lou Lown (Ron) of Piedmont, Kay Dillard of Greenville and Alice Skyles (David) of Seneca, SC; his siblings, Dr. Benjamin Bowen (Sally) of Troutman, NC and Bettie Roberts (Ron) of Raleigh, NC; his grandchildren, Alex Lown (Anne) and Rebecca Lown; and his great grandchildren, Bo and Bri.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Baptist Church, 504 S Oak St, Seneca, SC 29678.
