He was predeceased by: his mother Sally Moss; and his siblings, Dan Moss, Ida Mae Ramsey, Evelyn Turner, Hershell Moss and Horace Moss.
He is survived by: his wife Louise; his children, Jean Gates (Alan), Richard Moss Charlotte (Allen) and Barbara Stephenson (Stevie) of Rock Hill; his grandchildren, Brandy Greeson, William Gates, Richard Allen Moss and Griffen Stephenson; and his siblings, Doris Thomas, Sue Passmore, Lorrene Griffin and Jimmy Moss. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
