It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anne Vernon Zefo Copeland of Simpsonville, South Carolina, born in Pikeville, Kentucky, who passed away on June 19, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Frank Vernon and Elizabeth Vernon; her sister Francis Cline (Vernon); and her cousin Betty Brashear (Dick Brashear). She is survived by: her husband James "Ed" Copeland; her sons, Derek (Beth Zefo) and Joshua (Melora Copeland); her grandchildren, Josphine "Josie" Zefo, William Zefo, Ethan Copeland and Aaron Copeland; her sisters, Elizabeth (Dee Parsons) and Martha Spindler (Vernon); and her cousin Dorothy Smith (Norma Hutcherson).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Anne's honor to the American Sewing Guild. Donate to http://www.asg.org, whose mission is to advance sewing as an art and life skill, from education initiatives to charitable sewing initiatives like Sewing Acts of Kindness programs encouraging the health benefits of sewing.
