He was predeceased by: his parents, Dillard Ballew and Virginia Kirby Ballew; his sons, Claude Kirby "Kee" Ballew, Jr. and Timothy Scott Ballew; his siblings, Charles Godon Ballew, Sr. (Betty Jean), Martha Brown (James) and Ivy Abbott (TC); and his brothers-in-law, Frank Garrison and Richard Allen Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Thelma Aiken Ballew; his children, Jeffrey Wayne Ballew (Wanda), Reba Michele Campbell (David), Kimberly Dines Johnson (Harry) and Yolanda Meredith Crouch (Lee); and his sisters, Carolyn Garrison and Jean Smith. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Heritage Chapel of Cannon Byrd Funeral Home – Simpsonville (313 N Main St, Simpsonville, SC 29681).
