We bid farewell to Dakota Ray Shuford of Smyrna, South Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 3, 2025 at the age of 7. Dakota touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his great-grandparents, Barbara "MawMaw" Wilson, Linwood Baird and Rev. Sidney Shuford; and his great-uncle Kenneth Wilson. He is survived by: his parents, Dalton Shuford and Elizabeth Shuford; his sister Bailey Shuford; his grandparents, Gene, Marie Baird, Ray, Penny Shuford and Randall Ballard; his great-grandparents, Junior "Pop" Wilson, Addie "MeMe" Baird and Marlene "MawMaw" Shuford; and his aunts and uncles, Jordan "JoJo" Cantrell, Addison Carter (Colton), Rickey Wilson (Jane), Eddie Baird, Sheela Wilson, Rev. Roger Shuford (Patricia), Vicki Fox and Donna White (Jerry). He is also survived by many cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ford & Sons Funeral Home (209 N Main St, Clover, SC 29710). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (124 Bethel St, Clover, SC 29710).
