It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Jean Fooks of Spartanburg, South Carolina, born in Baltimore, Maryland, who passed away on September 19, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Grogan and Ruby Lee Alexander Grogan; and her grandson Darius Lee. She is survived by: her children, Anton S. Fooks (Sonja), Ruby Blakey (Mitchell) and LaTonya Fooks; and her sisters, Wanda L. Carter and Laverne Williams. She is also survived by ten loving grandchildren; three adoring great-grandchildren.
