She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Hilley and Ruby Cox Hilley; and her sons, Thomas L. Gilbert and Timothy R. Gilbert. She is survived by: her daughter Karen Melton; and her grandsons, Joshua "Josh" Neill Melton and James "Ryan" Melton.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Living Waters Funeral Home and Crematory (529 Spartanburg Hwy S, Lyman, SC 29365).
