She was predeceased by : her parents, Deacon Jasper Dodd and Vanecca Dodd; and her brother Donald Dodd. She is survived by : her husband Ernest Thompson; and her children, Evette Wilson (Bobby), Angela Jones (Ellis) and Travis Thompson. She is also survived by her family, friends.

A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Drayton Mills Church of Christ (135 Floyd St, Spartanburg, SC 29307).
