With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Evelyn Cabe Shelnut (Spartanburg, South Carolina), who passed away on April 12, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, William Milo and Margie Buchanan Cabe; her husband Charles Crawford Shelnut; her son-in-law Boyce Lee Ranson, III; and her siblings, Lois Ashworth Williams and William Milo Cabe, Jr..

She is survived by : her children, Pamela Ranson, Debbie Martin (Ronnie) and Joseph Butler Hilliard, III; her grandsons, Leonard Faye Lueck, Boyce Lee Ranson, IV, Joshua Lee Martin (Autumn), Joseph Butler Hilliard, IV (Brooke) and Jared Cabe Hilliard (Victoria); and her great grandchildren, Madison Kenley Martin, Ivy Jean Hilliard, Lucy Jane Hilliard and Revan Mateo Hilliard.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Floyds Boiling Springs Chapel (4161 SC-9, Boiling Springs, SC 29316). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church, 316 South Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29316.
