With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Newby Jr. (Spartanburg, South Carolina), born in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, who passed away on October 17, 2020. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Paul Archie Newby Sr. and Alma McIntyre Newby; his wife Bonita Carol Perkins; his sons, Jonathan Alan and Joshua Michael; his child-in-law Alysha Kiffin-Bruce; his mother-in-law Carolyn Perkins; his sister-in-law Dr. Jean Perkins Blackley (Donnie); and his niece Sonja Little. He was also cherished by many cousins, fraternity brothers and friends.
Due to Covid concerns the family will be having a private service.
