It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Griffin Garren of Spartanburg, South Carolina, who passed away on June 14, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Paul and Onnie Lucille Dyer Griffin. She is survived by: her husband William Guthrie Garren; her children, Kay Garren Pennington (Louis) of Boiling Springs, SC. and Donald Garren of Spartanburg; her granddaughters, Stephanie Pennington (Jason), Melanie Thomas (James), Lisa Garcia and Jennifer Williams; and her great grandchildren, Matthew and Kaitlyn Thomas.
