He was predeceased by: his parents, James Arthur Adams, Sr. and Mildred Pritchette Adams; and his children, James Reed Adams and Gretchen Amelia Adams. He is survived by: his wife Michelle Barbier Adams; his children, Margaret Jennifer Adams Cook (Larry), Edward Timothy Adams (Ellen) and Anthony Eric Dobson (Taska); his sisters, Peggy Jean Piccoli and Jenny Banks Marks; his grandchildren, Shai Adams-Gibson (Robbie), Tommy Weaver and Summer Huddleston (Trevor); his great grandchildren, Matthew Adams Gibson, Hayden Thornton (Jacob), Mason Adams, Nolan McElrath and Amelia Huddleston; and his great great grandchild Halo Adams-Gibson.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens- Spanish Mausoleum (1300 Fernwood Glendale Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29307).
