It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Lee Sill Jr. of Spartanburg, South Carolina, who passed away on October 27, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the echoes of fond remembrance, may a sense of peace be found, knowing that the memories held dear will continue to shape and inspire his loved ones, keeping Joseph's spirit alive in the hearts and actions of family and friends alike. While his presence may be gone, his impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Lee Sill, Sr. and Louise Lawson Sill. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Betsy" Cecil Sill; his children, Tracy Frye and Joseph "Joey" Cecil Sill (Emily); and his siblings, Rodney Sill (Gloria), Sylvia McKinney (Gene) and Bethany Cecil. He is also survived by three grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Skylyn Drive Arp Church (1801 Skylyn Dr, Spartanburg, SC 29307). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
