She was predeceased by: her parents, William David Smith and Nellie Elizabeth Hughes Smith; and her husband Ben Hines. She is survived by: her sons, Lt. Colonel Jeffrey and Christopher "Chris" Scott Owens (Cami); her grandchildren, Trevor, Ashlyn, Abigail and Madeline; her brothers, David Markley Smith (Brenda) and Robert Todd Smith; and her close friends, Kathy Cothran and Mary Hirsch. She is also survived by four great granddaughters.
