She was predeceased by: her parents, Howell Thomas Goar and Marjorie Garnett Goar; and her brother Thomas T. Goar, Sr. (Jo Ann Morris). She is survived by: her husband John E. Worthen (Lee University); her daughters, Ami (Jason Krekel) and Jennifer; and her nephew Thomas T. Goar, Jr..
