She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Houston Fleming and Flora Lillyfair Case; her husband Alvin E. Ballard, Sr.; her sons, Howard Mack Rollins and Alvin E. Ballard, Jr.; her grandchildren, Angela Sarvghad and Jonathan Ballard; and her siblings, Jack, Brownlow, Houston Fleming, Gladys Ruff and Helen Taylor.
She is survived by: her daughter Shannon Kurrie; her grandchildren, Valerie Kitchens, Christian Brown (Gerry), Mark Rollins (Wendy) and Chris Rollins; her great grandchildren, Ariel, Logan, William, Derek, Bryson, Caitlyn, Tyler, Chase, Christian, Brianna and Laila; her great great grandchildren, Jade and Jasmine; and her grandson-in-law Daniel Sarvghad. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:15 PM at the Woodruff Church of God (6385 SC-101, Woodruff, SC 29388). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Virginia's memory to the Church of God Children's in Mauldin, SC, or to St. Luke's Free Medical Clinic in Spartanburg, SC.
