He was predeceased by : his parents, Norman Willis Baxley and Lula Rosalee Still Baxley; and his brother David Baxley. He is survived by : his wife Peggy Williams Baxley; his children, Kimberly Toole (Bobby) of Aiken and George Christopher Baxley of Springfield; and his siblings, Lois Cromer of Blackville and John Baxley of Springfield.

Memorial contributions may be given in George's memory to the First Baptist Church of Springfield, 3406 Surrey Race Rd., Springfield, SC 29146.
