He was predeceased by : his parents, Ernest Abraham Hasty and Lillian Estell Denham Hasty; and his brother David Hasty. He is survived by : his wife Helen Fox Rogers Hasty; his children, Gretta Dawn Page (Dwayne) of Mt. Jullian, TN, Anna Hasty of Summerville, SC, Robin Clifton (Vashon) of Springfield, SC, April Drennan (Seneca) of Tulsa, OK, William Hasty (Sandy) of Charleston, SC and Christopher Hasty (Jamie) of Monks Corner, SC; and his brothers, Simon Hasty (Elta), Vernon Hasty (Sue) and Richard Hasty (Rachael). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
