With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Merial Doar Greenhill (Summerville, South Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 19, 2025 at the age of 79. As Merial Doar departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Merial Doar. Though Merial Doar may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Greenhill; his children, Chris Greenhill (Celeste), Jaysen Greenhill (Maryann) and Geoffrey Greenhill (Jennifer); and his grandchildren, Bailey Evans (Bryce), Kamryn Greenhill, Kinsley Greenhill, Josie Greenhill and Griffin Greenhill. He is also survived by his family, friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the James A. Dyal Funeral Home (303 S Main St, Summerville, SC 29483). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel (303 S Main St, Summerville, SC 29483). A burial will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at the Dorchester Memory Gardens (11000 Dorchester Rd, Summerville, SC 29485).
