She was predeceased by : her spouse E. A. Dority; and her parents, James Addison Baker and Vinie Davis Baker. She is survived by : her daughter Mildred Kirby of Sumter; her siblings, Lewis Baker of Bishopville, Sara Godwin of Bishopville, Nell Keeley of Sumter and Ruby Jean Parker of Bethune; her close friend Theresa Glass; and her grandchildren, Michael H. Kirby, Sheree K. Infinger (Joey), Connie D. Kirby and Michelle "Tootie" Dority. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church, 1116 Manning Road, Sumter, SC 29150.
