He was predeceased by: his parent Chester F. "C. F."; and his sister-in-law Rosalind Blackmon. He is survived by: his wife Vicky Atkinson Blackmon; his children, Brett Blackmon of Sumter and Tiffany Adams (Jeff) of St. Louis, MO; and his siblings, David Blackmon of Sumter, Jerry Blackmon (Carolyn) of Sumter and Ann Windham (Don) of Sumter.
