It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bertha Mae Jett Robinson (Sumter, South Carolina), who passed away on January 4, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Wilford Robinson; her parents, Nash Reames and Carola Mixon Jett; her sons, William Eric Robinson and Paul Green; and her siblings, Billie, Bobby, Thomas, Michael, James, Mozell, Minnie Lee and Loraine.
She is survived by: her children, Wanda Robinson, Yvonne Charlene Robinson of Sumter, Christopher Robinson (Natashia), Robert McKelvie (Kathy) of Sumter and John Green (Michelle) of Woodbridge; her daughters-in-law, Maggie Green of Sumter and Tiajuana Harris of Spartanburg; her siblings, Willie Jett of Sumter and Lula Mae Davis of Elizabeth; her cousins, Lillie Mae Mickens of East Orange, N. J. and Mary Louise Jenkins of Sumter; her close friends, Sudie Montgomery of Sumter and Edith Nickens of Dalzell; and her nephew James Chuck Jett of Elgin. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In accordance with the COVID 19 guidelines, the family is requesting face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during all visitation at the home, 3770 Rhododendran Street, Sumter.
