He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Lynwood Davis and Frances Jones Davis; and his brother James M. Davis. He is survived by: his wife Virginia "Ginnie" Bartlette Davis; his son Billy L. Davis, Jr. (Ann); his grandson Nathan Downer (Carley); his great grandchild Shirley Holland Downer; and his sister Lynda Burress (Robert).
