He is survived by: his parents, Muriel Pickering Yarbrough and Biscayne Johnson; his former wife Angel Mickens; his children, Ali Mickens, Jaiden Mickens, Baylee Smallwood and Payton Mickens; and his grandchild Luna Maren Asbury.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the family request no visitation at the home.
