He was predeceased by: his parents, S. J. Martin and D. C. Johnson Martin. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Pierson Martin; his children, Bobby G. "Gerry" Martin of Sumter, Sonia Allen (David) of Sumter and Robert Nichols (Becky) of Lexington; and his brother Gene Martin (Shirley) of Thomasville, NC. He is also survived by four grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
