She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Thatcher and Marjorie Shumaker Thatcher. She is survived by: her husband Mark Allen Schenck; her children, Krista Schenck of Sanford, NC and Scott Allen Schenck (Shally) of Wake Forest, NC; her siblings, Charles "Chuck" Thatcher, Carol Kalsbeek, Melissa Bevins, Gail Stanley and Diane Thornton; and her grandchildren, Gene Allen Mertz Schenck and Lanah Schenck.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to be given to Lutheran Church of the Living Word, 1925 South Main Street, Laurinburg, NC 28352.
