He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Jones and Leah Jones; his wife Doris; and his brothers, Peanut, Eugene and Monkey.
He is survived by: his children, Dale and Dean (Arlene); his granddaughter Dallen Jones Charles (Thomas); his sisters, Naomi Deas Elmore, Margaret Harris and Teresa Thigpen; and his siblings-in-law, Mildred Jones, Ima Lee Jones, Bobby Thigpen and Charles Harris.
