He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Pollock Gibbs; his brother Richard Hays Gibbs; and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Gibbs and Ronald Pollock. He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Gibbs Allgood (David) of Irmo, SC, Laura Gibbs Baker (Alpheus) of Sumter and Edith Gibbs Gamble (Larry) of Franklin, WI; his grandchildren, Phillip Allgood (Katherine), Betsy Watson (Blake), Mary Frances Baker Capers (Demetrius), Jimmy Baker, Whitney Gamble (Brandon Burge), Theresa Bryar (Ken) and Billy Gamble (Courtney); his great grandchildren, Justin, Othello Capers and Jaeden Burge; and his sister-in-law Nancy Pollock of Mt. Joy, PA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
