He was predeceased by: his parents, William Clyde Baker and Minnie Inez Mathis Burwood; and his sisters, Dorothy Moore and Ruth Floyd. He is survived by: his daughter Cheryl Lynne Baker of Hartsville; his sister Sylvia Eloise Floyd of Sumter; his granddaughter Susan Michelle Kalpakci of Fountain Inn, SC; and his great grandchildren, Christian, Yasemin and Ada. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
