She was predeceased by: her parents, J. C. Powell and Kitty Viola Degarhart Powell; her husband Frederick Eugene Brink, Sr.; and her siblings, J. C. Powell, Jr., Daniel T. Powell, Margaret Price, Lewis A. "Louie" Powell, John Powell and Beatrice Lamkin.
She is survived by: her children, Frederick E. "Chip" Brink, Jr. (Cynthia) of Columbus, MS and Tracie B. Watkins (Stephen) of Lamar; her grandchildren, Joshua Avery (Brandy), Christopher Brink (Joyce), Caleb Brink (Haley) and Stephanie Watkins; and her siblings, George Powell (Frances) of Columbia, Dorothy Hickson of Bishopville, Celestine Mims of Sumter and Hilda Krieger of Sumter. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
