He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Curry Dukes and Carrie Evans Dukes; his grandson Kyle Edward Dukes; his son-in-law Nelson Cribb; and his siblings, J. S. Dukes, Blanche Baker and Helen Rabon.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Nunnery Dukes; his children, Eddie Dukes (Beth) of Sumter, Martha Dukes Cribb of Sumter and Glenn Dukes (Angela) of Braselton, GA; his grandchildren, Chassity McClam (Derrick), Mike Cribb (Allison), Toby Dukes (Lauren), Maggie Dukes and Jared Dukes (Elizabeth); his great grandchildren, Mariah McClam, Marlee Cribb, Clay McClam, Collin Cribb and Dallas Lloyd; and his brothers, Harold Dukes (Naomi) and Gene Dukes. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other family members.
