It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Marion Prescott (Sumter, South Carolina), who passed away on June 24, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Marion Prescott and Ruby Brunson Prescott; and his brothers-in-law, Bennie Canty and Jim McGuire. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Jackson Prescott; his children, Shannon Leviner (Joey), Greg Prescott (Courtney) and Paula Skinner (Austin); the mother of his children Ann Prescott; his stepsons, James Fickling and Ronny Fickling; his grandchildren, Maci Aytes (Michael), Brant Prescott (Bethany), Anna Lynn Skinner and Kate Skinner; his great grandchildren, Liam Aytes, Huck Aytes, Bennett Aytes, Paisley Aytes and Cade Benenhaley; and his sisters, Margaret Prescott McGuire and Mildred Prescott Canty. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home (515 Miller Rd, Sumter, SC 29150). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
